DFP‐Documentazione di Fonte Pubblica in Rete:Italian Government Information on the Net

DFP acts as gateway to more than 1,000 primary sources of public information relevant to Italy. Content belongs to a wide variety of resources: databases, Web sites, digital publications, etc. Core material is produced by Government agencies, but DFP also includes non-Italian public sources, nongovernmental agencies, and other public organizations. Focus is on general statistics, economy, law and legislation, public finance, and local government. Material is selected, reviewed, and uploaded by an all-volunteer editorial staff coordinated by the Library of the Italian Chamber of Deputies and the Association of Italian Libraries using the Collection Workflow Integration System (CWIS) open source software. In addition to being a tested and user-friendly environment, the platform offers an intuitive way of rating the resources, a useful feature in a site where stress is on quality rather than quantity. DFP is the standard reference tool for the serious scholar interested in the social, economic, and political make-up of contemporary Italy.
