World Bank Open Knowledge Repository

Launched in 2012, the World Bank Open Knowledge Repository (OKR; <https://openknowledge.worldbank.org/>) is an Open Access digital repository containing over 21,000 recent World Bank publications, including its annual reports, country opinion surveys, and policy research working papers. Developed using DSpace software and boasting a mobile-friendly interface and elegant visual design, the OKR includes integrated altmetrics and supports easy searching and browsing (see Figure 1). The OKR adds value to academic libraries that support programs in economics, business, social sciences, or international affairs. As a free resource, the OKR has significant limitations. It offers no datasets or 1990s back files of World Bank publications, while its terms of use are problematic for the rights of end users.
