PlumX

PlumX, a commercial product of Plum Analytics and now EBSCO, can be used to track the online activity associated with various types of traditional and contemporary research outputs, from journal articles to video files. As such, PlumX addresses a current interest of institutions, researchers, and others, in considering research impact via a wide array of metrics, including altmetrics. The data collected and organized by PlumX can be viewed in an easily navigated Web interface, embedded in Web pages via widgets, or exported and downloaded for analysis. PlumX appears to be a functional and useful product, which potential subscribers may wish to trial in order to most closely consider the efficacy and details of its activity tracking.
