European Film Gateway (EFG)

The European Film Gateway (EFG) offers access to more than 600,000 objects from over 30 collections preserved by European government-run film archives. The historical documents include audiovisual clips (mainly documentaries, commercials, and newsreels), film stills, set photos, posters, set drawings, portrait photographs, scripts, correspondences, film censorship and visa rulings, out-of-print books, film programs, and reviews. Specifically designed for the scientific community but also for the public at large, EFG offers a good starting point for anyone interested in filmmaking in Europe from the early days until today.
