Taylor & Francis e-Book Collections and e-Focus Packages
The e-books of the titles published under the several imprints included in the Taylor & Francis group are released simultaneously with the print edition and number 24,000 titles approximately. As such, they cover a wide range of subject areas and are packaged as e-Collections with
broad subject coverage or narrowly focused e-Focus packages. In addition, the Pick and Mix option can be used to customise collections to suit individual institutions. The packages can be purchased outright for perpetual access or subscribed to annually. Unfortunately, the access is limited
to one and five users, respectively, per title for perpetual and subscription access. The e-book titles can be used for interlibrary loans. However, libraries will have to ensure that the terms governing the loans are acceptable, as the SERU registry listing for Taylor & Francis does not
cover e-books and covers only e-journals. For institutional users, the DX Reader is the only format available and it is easy to use. The search options are good and helpful to academic and research users. Although the price per title seems average and acceptable, it is not so due to the restrictive
access options available. Individuals can also purchase the e-books via the Taylor & Francis e-book store.
