Business Technology Solutions
Business Technology Solutions (BTS) is the latest database from IGI Global and is aimed at academic users, both students and staff, and professionals including “walk-in users” studying and researching a variety of Business technology topics. It contains over 1,200 books,
100-plus journals, and 600-plus cases and gives access to over 42,000 research articles covering titles from year 2000 to the present. The content has been contributed by experts and authorities on the specific subject areas. Access to simultaneous unlimited multiple users is via a new XML
platform and as such has XML-powered, full-text searching. As in the case of its forerunner, IGI Global's InfoSci-books collection, the keyword search in BTS is by a list of key words compiled from sources such as LC, MISQ, etc. These keywords have been assigned to each item with the intention
of enabling the retrieval of adequate search results which appear with a star ranking from one to five. Unlike many other databases, BTS does not have DRM software embedded in it and has only a monitoring system in place to prevent misuse. The content can be used to fulfill Interlibrary Loans,
and the database is now listed in the Shared E-Resources Understanding (SERU) registry. As there is no embargo on content, electronic versions of all documents are available before the release of the print versions.
