Broad coverage of related aspects of linguistics was achieved through the selective indexing of publications, from a variety of disciplinary perspectives, which occasionally published research on the study of language. This selective indexing of sources has recently ceased; journals are either
comprehensively indexed or excluded. Going forward, we can expect a more focused database, but one that must be supplemented for comprehensive research.",
