The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) <https://dp.la/> provides free access to over 16 million historical and cultural artifacts and objects (including text, images, and sound recordings) sourced from both America’s large cultural heritage institutions such as the Smithsonian and “the smallest local history museums.” User-friendly, visually appealing, and content-rich, DPLA serves students and educators (K-12 and beyond,), researchers, genealogists, and basically anyone interested in our cultural heritage.
