Iter: Gateway to the Middle Ages & Renaissance
Iter: Gateway to the Middle Ages & Renaissance is a solid gateway to a variety of resources developed by the organizations that together pay for it. The gateway itself is free and it also features some free materials. The paid content is reasonably priced. The license for Iter Bibliography
and Iter Italicum is available on request. The gateway’s interface is very intuitive and easy to use, although the websites for the resources available through the gateway vary widely with some being quite good while others are fairly difficult to puzzle out. The social media aspect
of the gateway, Iter Commons, is also interesting, though it is underutilized at this time. The gateway itself is well worth making available to researchers of all levels and many of the resources available through the gateway would be of use to a wide variety of programs including English,
History, Women’s Studies, Literature, Theater, Religious Studies, Education, European Folklore, and several others.
