Currently, North Carolina State University provides oversight of the community-managed initiative. The open source, open data project provides quality metadata for more than 400 electronic resource packages and associated titles. All metadata within the platform may be downloaded as KBART or GOKb files by anyone for unrestricted use under a Creative Commons CC0 License. While currently lacking the scale needed to become a go-to for local metadata creators, GOKb has great potential as a microservice. The modular development of the product, combined with the open API lends itself to incorporation into other open source and proprietary platforms, like FOLIO, KB+, OCLC WMS, ExLibris, Alma, etc.", }
