The migration from CSA to ProQuests platform in 2011 resulted in an improved search interface; other features such as interactive search help links and Altmetrics also enhance the searching experience. The PEI has not improved much in terms of content and quality control from when it was hosted on CSAs platform. In addition, the thesaurus is outdated and it is clearly evident the existing lexicon does not reflect the changes in the discipline that have occurred during the past decade. Despite other issues such as missing content and Altmetrics that may or may not be present in citations with a strong online presence, this resource is recommended for generalists, secondary school, and undergraduate populations. It is also recommended for those interested in applied exercise physiology and physical education such as coaches and educators.", }
