EBSCO Flipster

Flipster provides digital replicas of popular magazines that can be read on a variety of devices. Libraries can choose from over 700 magazines from nearly 200 publishers in 21 subject areas in English, Spanish, and French. Users access the product via the Web site or free mobile/tablet apps where they can download issues for offline reading. The user interface is simple and easy to use. EBSCO is actively working to add more magazines (a few important titles are missing) and offer additional features to improve the user experience. Digital rights management (such as downloaded issues expiring and simultaneous user limits) on some of the titles is an unnecessary hindrance to access and should be completely removed from the product. Three competing products are briefly described.
