The Digital Loeb Classical Library <http://www.loebclassics.com> provides students and others in need of dual language (Greek/English, Latin/English) classical texts easy access to a canonical corpus of classical authors. The texts available in the “Digital Loeb” are the same texts available in print from Harvard University Press (HUP) and will primarily be of use to students, amateurs, and non-specialist academics who either do not need a definitive critical edition of classical texts or who do not know Greek or Latin well enough to do without a translation. Although there is no new content in the digital collection, the rudimentary search functionality and collaborative annotation tools may make the product useful to educators and students alike. Classical scholars will find much missing from the product, but libraries whose print editions are heavily used or those looking to develop a comprehensive digital collection in support of classics programs may find the Digital Loeb worth the investment.
