Covering all the major wars, insurgencies and other instances of instability in the Middle East since the end of World War II, the database is especially valuable for research into the period from 1945 through the 1990s, with a few documents dating from the 2000s and 2010s. In total the database contains 2,733 documents on over 19,500 pages. In spite of the limitations imposed by national security considerations, these documents manage to provide a fascinating insight into the history of U.S. intelligence in the Middle East.", }
